Art. 88(1) of the Act of 13 April 2016 on conformity assessment and market surveillance systems: a producer, importer or installer who places on the market or puts into service a product that does not meet the requirements is liable to a fine of up to PLN 100,000. Under art. 84(2) the market surveillance authority may also order the product withdrawn from the market or from use, recovered, or destroyed, and may order users to be notified. UKE asks the public to report offers or use of such devices to the nearest UKE branch office.
