Vaping / E-cigs in Iceland: restricted — there are real limits travelers must follow.
You may bring and use a vape in Iceland at 18+, but not indoors where the Act bans it. Act No. 87/2018 on electronic cigarettes and refill containers prohibits vaping in the public service areas of public bodies, in schools and educational institutions, in childcare and youth-activity facilities, in healthcare premises (except residents' own rooms in care homes) and on public transport (Art. 12). Nicotine liquid is capped at 20 mg/ml (Art. 8), and e-cigarettes, refills and nicotine products may not be sold or handed to anyone under 18 (Art. 7).
Violations carry fines or imprisonment of up to two years (Art. 20); administrative fines run from ISK 10,000 to ISK 10,000,000 for individuals.
