Connectivity in Singapore: allowed only under specific conditions.
Singapore caps how many SIMs one person may hold and, from 28 February 2026, will not accept a foreign passport to register a POSTPAID SIM at all. Prepaid is capped at 3 cards per person across all telcos (in force since April 2014); postpaid is capped at 10 cards across all telcos from 28 February 2026, replacing the earlier limit of 10 per telco. Registration requires a government-issued identification document, and online sign-up requires Singpass, which visitors do not have. Corporate and data-only SIMs are exempt from the postpaid cap, and anyone who already held more than 10 postpaid SIMs before 28 February 2026 keeps them but cannot add more. A visitor should plan on a prepaid tourist SIM, an eSIM, or roaming.
