Restricted: No legal recreational possession. A first offense of 30 g or less is punishable by a fine of $100–$250 with no jail and may be enforced by summons — it is a fine-only CRIMINAL disposition, not a civil offense.

A first offense of 30 g or less is punishable by a fine of $100–$250 with no jail and may be enforced by summons — it is a fine-only CRIMINAL disposition, not a civil offense. The record is not a criminal record for private or administrative inquiry and expunges 2 years after conviction. Second and third offenses within 2 years carry jail. Registered patients may possess up to 28 MMCEUs (about 98 g / 3.5 oz of flower). (Miss. Code 41-29-139(c)(2)(A).)
