No current statutory duty — a recent change: the old G.L. c. 140 § 129C duty to exhibit the license on demand was struck by the 2024 gun-law overhaul (Ch. 135 of the Acts of 2024, eff. Oct. 2, 2024) and not re-enacted anywhere. An LTC is still required to carry at all (c. 269 § 10).
