Front side windows must allow >=70% light - only clear, colorless film (88% film transmittance; 70% combined with the glass, per FMVSS 205). Windshield tint only on the topmost portion, bottom edge at least 29 in. above the undepressed driver's seat, non red/amber, and it must not add glare. Cal. Veh. Code 26708.
