In South Carolina, retail liquor (package) stores are closed on Sundays statewide, because historic blue laws partly remain. Beer and wine in grocery and convenience stores may be sold on Sunday only where the county or municipality has approved it by local option, and on-premises Sunday sales are also local option. Liquor stores are open Monday through Saturday, about 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
