Importing, possessing or dealing in duty-not-paid tobacco carries a maximum HK$2,000,000 fine and 7 years imprisonment (raised the same day from HK$1,000,000 and 2 years). Smoking, or carrying an activated alternative smoking product, in a statutory no-smoking area: a fixed penalty of HK$3,000.
