Delaware bans most consumer fireworks — anything aerial or explosive is illegal. Only ground-based, non-aerial sparkling devices, wire or stick sparklers (100 g or less), snakes, smoke devices and trick noisemakers are allowed, and only on four days a year: July 4, the third day of Diwali, December 31 and January 1. Sales are limited to buyers 18 and older during the 30 days before and including each day of allowed use (16 Del. C. § 6901).
