Iowa law permits discharge from June 1 to July 8 and from December 10 to January 3, generally between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m., and later around July 4 and New Year's. Cities and counties may further limit the times but cannot prohibit use on July 3, July 4, or December 31 (a 2025 change).
