ConditionalVerified Jul 28, 2026

Retail sale of consumer fireworks is lawful where the county has not prohibited it. A board of county commissioners may prohibit sale to Wyoming residents or use of fireworks by resolution, or adopt reasonable rules authorizing and regulating sale; county bans in effect on February 1, 1990 remain valid unless amended or repealed. Cities and towns may further restrict or prohibit sales within their limits. Sales to permit holders for supervised public displays, and sales shipped by commercial motor vehicle directly out of state, are separately allowed. (W.S. 35-10-204, 35-10-205, 35-10-208.)
