At Philippine duty-free stores every arriving international passenger except minors may buy a maximum of 2 units of cigarettes, liquor and wine, and the privilege can be used only once from the date of arrival. Regular Filipino and foreign individual travellers get a tax-exempt purchase ceiling of USD 1,000 and must buy within 48 hours of arriving; Balikbayan and OFW travellers get USD 2,500 within 15 days (30 days from 15 December to 15 January). Minors may buy consumable items only and are barred from buying liquor and wine at all.
