CONDITIONAL

Telecommunication equipment is a regulated import in the Philippines: the Bureau of Customs states that regulated goods may be brought in only after securing the necessary permit, clearance or licence from the concerned government regulatory agency, before importation. Electrical appliances are on the same regulated list. If you are carrying a radio transceiver, repeater, booster or similar gear rather than an ordinary phone or laptop, get the clearance first — arriving without it is what turns a gadget into a customs case.
