Helmet required for every rider — Georgia requires a DOT-compliant motorcycle helmet (labeled with the maker's name/brand, model, DOT, FMVSS No. 218, CERTIFIED); the requirement applies to operators and passengers with no age exemption. Eye or face protection is also required in Georgia. Applies to all motor-driven cycles, including scooters and mini-bikes of 51cc or greater. (O.C.G.A. 40-6-315.)
