Coweta County, GA — Alcohol Laws (2026)
Verified Sep 12, 2026
Not a dry county. Package (retail) sales of distilled spirits are allowed in unincorporated Coweta County — the old ban (former Code Sec. 6-3) was repealed by Ord. 032-21 on Aug. 24, 2021 and voters approved package liquor at referendum on Nov. 2, 2021 (66.76% yes). Beer and wine package sales are allowed too. The county issues no more than three package-spirits licenses (Sec. 6-79), so liquor stores are few, and sale hours are restricted — check the Coweta alcohol rules before you buy. Cities inside the county vote and license separately.
