Conditional: Only non-aerial, non-explosive "sparkling devices" are legal — wire or wood sparklers of 100 grams or less, and similar nonexplosive, nonaerial items, snakes, smoke devices and trick noisemakers.

Only non-aerial, non-explosive "sparkling devices" are legal — wire or wood sparklers of 100 grams or less, and similar nonexplosive, nonaerial items, snakes, smoke devices and trick noisemakers. Firecrackers, aerials, bottle rockets and any explosive fireworks are illegal. Use is not permitted on public property, and buyers must be 18 or older with photographic identification (Minn. Stat. § 624.20).
