Thai Customs treats cigarettes, tobacco and alcoholic beverages as restricted goods: importing or exporting them requires a permit from the Excise Department, and the permit must be presented during customs formalities. Thai Customs publishes no personal traveller quantity on this page, so treat any tobacco you carry beyond obvious personal use as declarable and ask at the red channel rather than walking through green.
