CONDITIONAL

Guns, bullets, explosives and anything equivalent to a gun are restricted goods in Thailand: bringing them in or out is allowed only with a permit from the Department of Provincial Administration, Ministry of Interior, presented during customs formalities. Thai Customs lists no exception for a traveller carrying a firearm for sport or self-defence, so arrive with the permit already issued or leave the item at home.
