Studded tires are allowed from November 1 through April 1, with studs no more than 3/32 inch projecting and covering no more than 3% of the tire's traction surface (47 O.S. 12-405(C)). There is no vehicle weight limit on ordinary studded tires — the 2-ton restriction applies only to operator-selectable "on demand" stud systems under subsection D.
