Iowa sets no state limit on magazine capacity — there is no cap on how many rounds a magazine can hold. Iowa Code chapter 724 (Weapons) contains no magazine-capacity restriction, and section 724.28 bars cities, counties and townships from regulating firearms or "firearms attachments" that are lawful under state law — so no local limit applies either.
