Consumer fireworks may be used on any day between 10:00 a.m. and 11:59 p.m., but a county or city noise ordinance can cut that window short (Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. 120-3-22-.13). On January 1, the last Saturday and Sunday in May, July 3, July 4, the first Monday in September and December 31, local noise ordinances do not apply — and on January 1 use is also allowed from midnight to 1:00 a.m. Use is unlawful indoors or within the right of way of a public road, street, highway or railroad.
